Common Man – The Real Hero.
During my school days I was very fond of comics. Phantom, Spider Man & Super Man were my heroes. My father always brought the comics for me. One day he was busy in his official work & came late without my favourite comics. My father was labour Commissioner, that day he had to convenience the factory workers who were on strike in Birla’s Harihar polyfiber industry in Harihar. All the workers appreciated & thanked my dad for his great efforts for solving the disputes. The next day when I read in the news paper I came to know about my father’s heroic efforts.
I really felt very bad, here I was demanding him for the comics & I was eager to read my book heroes than to understand my father’s professional & personnel commitments & sacrifices.
There are many heroes we find in our day today life, there are many celebrities in all walks of life, and there are sports persons specially cricketers, Film stars, entrepreneurs & last but not the least our great soldiers who ensure peace & freedom for us. They loose their today for our better tomorrow.
Giving due respect to all these heroes, I personally feel the real heroes are the Common Man. We can live without these heroes, but we can’t live without the common man. Further these heroes can be replaced, but can anyone replace a common man?
A common man in a civilized society has to face many challenges than a soldier. The common man has to face the problems & challanges of life everyday.
To me the real hero need not have to take risks for performing great deeds of courage. Any person who has the ability to take care of the basic needs of his family is the real hero. It is good if he has the ability to fight for a good cause but it is not essential. It sounds strange but it is true. The common man who does everything for his family without any purpose is the real hero.
For instance a cricketer can play a match winning knock & make his team win. This winning moment is for one particular time, not all the time. Same is true towards our brave soldiers, they fight bravely for our country, sometimes they sacrifice their lives, again giving due respect, they are awarded & rewarded for their outstanding services.
Can any one think that a Common Man performing the essential duties all his life in the name of responsibility or sacrifice goes unrecognised. Neither he is awarded nor rewarded. It is very unfortunate that his very own people for whom he has dedicated his life, will never appreciate nor recgonise the great efforts of the Comman Man.
It is very sad, but true we always search for heroes instead of recognizing the true hero the common man.
The common man does not demand any award or reward from us, all he wants is little love & respect in our heart.
The common man a real hero walks through life quietly, touching so many people around him.
I dedicate this post to my dear friend Paulose. Our Aam Admi (Common Man) of MS for his unique & inspiring posts
