Long Live Life

Life is ever changing and it changes everyday. We learn new things and grow; still there is so much to learn. Life teaches many inspiring incidents in few minutes. I always like to offer my Jumma namaz (Friday prayers) in Qadria Masjid near cantonment railway station. After the prayers I meet my friends & relatives & pray for each other.

This Friday after the prayers there was a call from the Imam for the Salat al Janazah (funerals prayers) & Nikah (marriage)

After completing my personnel prayers immediately outside the masjid I joined for the funeral prayers. The prayer is performed in congregation to seek pardon for the deceased and all dead Muslims. Soon after offering the funeral prayers I rushed to attend the Nikah inside the masjid.

Few times I have seen in the hospitals where there is a birth & death cases in the same wards. But this was a very different & inspiring experience. Here inside the masjid, I am seeing people are smiling, hugging & lifting the groom, there outside the mosque people are crying & lifting the Janazah. Here a new journey of married life begins, there life’s journey ends.

Soon after coming out of the mosque relatives & friends of the groom were distributing the sweets, I can’t refuse nor can I digest the sweet facts of life. I just took the sweet packets & distributed to the poor standing outside the mosque. We believe that death is a departure from the life of this world, but not the end of a person's existence. Rather, eternal life is to come.

Udhar Zindagi Un Ki Dulhan Banayge (there Life Will Become Their Bride)

Qayamat Say Pehlay Qayamat Hai Yaarab, (it’s The Day Of Judgment Before The Day Of Judgment Oh Lord)

What is life, nobody has defined completely & satisfactorily. These few minutes with two different moments were great learning lessons in my life. When I entered the masjid in the afternoon it was too hot to walk on the ground with barefoot but after the prayers the weather was cool and misty with clouds hovering around.

What I learned is nothing lasts forever, neither the climate, nor all the happiness nor the sorrow in this world. What remain forever are our good deeds. Keep doing good work till we die & not to forget to pray God for all the blessings we have.

Everyday, every moment life has taught us and continues to teach us in its subtle and sometimes drastic way to mend our ways, to change, to improve for the better and to evolve. Life is a continuous journey taking through soft sands to rocky roads but every experience, every moment spent, every second lived is a life itself. Well, I know I am sounding too philosophical. Well, I feel like that.

Finally driving home all the way, I was listening the beautiful song from Dil Apna Preet Parayee, Ajeeb daastaan hai yeh, Kahan shuru kahan khatam (Strange story it is, Where it starts and where it ends)
