The Musical Nite " Anokhi Raat Rafi Ke Naam" By Star Voice of India Singer Zakir Hussain was an evenning with magic woven in the air by songs once sung by the legendary Mohammad Rafi. One after the other, the performers tried to imitate the maestro and regaled the audience. Some copied his range. Others came out with Rafi like reach of the crescendo and resilience to the base.


The audiences were in for a surprise as an evergreen voice from the yore took the stage again, rekindling memories and melodies of an era gone by.The crowd enjoyed this musical feast.


The Musical show was attended by thousand plus gathering and another Five hundred odd waiting to gain entry, The crowd was completely enchanted by the immortal Rafi numbers and enjoyed without a much noise. The organisers never anticipated such a crowd and had to double the number of seats at the last minute.


Organised by the Vastav groups, The singers of a professional orchestra rendered around twenty five popular Rafi numbers. Zakir Hussain the physically challenged singer got a standing ovation from the crowd. The show brought out some rare gems from the music of Rafi and some little known anecdotes from his life too.


The main reason of organising the musical nite was to encourage the upcomming talented singers in our country & to raise funds for Syed Shafeq ( President Award winning Actor )for his finacial difficulties.


Dear friends comming on to the main topic,The reason of me writting about the musical programme is something different.


During the musical programme ,The special guest mr Syed Shafeq,once the star child actor & President award winner for Mira Nair's Oscar nominated film Salaam Bombay was called on the stage,


The moment he came on stage,there was a shout from the audince,,


Hey this auto driver...What's so special about him...It was his past glory..


This was very disturbing to me...Many thoughts started rising in my mind,


One person (Syed Shafiq) walking on the stage is challanged by the poverty,struggling to stand on his feet economically & the other person Mr Zakir Hussain,a physically challenged struggling to stand on his feet but bravely entertraining the crowd.What an Irony of life..


Many prominent personalaties of the city promised monetary beneficts to Mr Shafeq ,Sadhbhavana cities well known charatiable organisation presented a cheque to Mr Shafeq.The forgotten Actors eyes were filled with the Tears of happiness .This actor never thought difference between the real life & reel life.


Life is very strange & uncertain,it give something to some one,& takes lot many things.Instead of blaming God or destiney we should try to challange & change our future .


Everybobdy wants to be successful in Life .Everyone want to succeed fast, Becaues time is very short & it waits for none.During the battle for achieving success,we make some mistakes.What is more important is very soon we must learn from our mistakes & rectify it. The longer we wait before we take action, The more we delay the rewards that are rightfully ours. "Waiting" to change is not enough.


Unfortunately, most people will never delovep a strong future vision for their lives.Most people will never even begin to harness their true potential. What they don't realize is if they are not focused on their futures ,If they are not consciously creating their lives,then they are living accidentally, not intentionally. They are merely reacting to life.


Some afraid of failing, and others, believe it or not, are afraid of succeeding. What is sad is most people do not realize they have become paralyzed by their fears. Millions of people with great potential have been ruined and their entire lives wasted because they do not face their fears head on.


Focus on your reason for deciding to make a change and please do not give up on yourself ! No matter what! You deserve to succeed! And when you do, you will feel a powerful, peaceful sense of pride and joy which no one can ever take away!


Prove to yourself and others that you are a winner ... winners finish what they start....


The musical nite came to an end after nearly four hours.The music buffs returned homes with the tuneful memories of Rafi Songs.


Suddenly I came back from my magical thoughts.Iam thankful to our MSian Mr Sridhar & his family for accepting our invitation.


For many it was a musical nite,But for me it was a magical night.I learnd the hard realities of life.This realities of Life are nothing less than a magic to me.


Time is too slow for those who wait, Too swift for those who fear,


Too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, Time is eternity.
