Control your EMOTIONS, or it will control you..
EMOTIONS are what happens when illusion overlaps reality. Their purpose is to give us something we know is not real.
EMOTIONS are powerful. They affect the way we think and act. They can motivate us for both good and bad. At times, they may even seem to overwhelm us.
Everybody has emotions. Emotions are chemical signals fired off by your nervous system in response to what's going on around you. They let you know how you feel about things , happy,Hope,Success, angry, sad, excited, jealous, Whatever it is. And they don't lie. These instant, instinctive responses of your body to the world are always truthful. But not always right!
Have we ever experienced situations where we wished that we are controlling emotions rather than being controlled by it?Like when we lose our temper over a misunderstanding? Or getting upset over little things .
What I want is to acknowledge that emotions have a very important place in our lives. However just like anything else, too much of one thing makes it unhealthy. Sometimes it is good to let emotions take control over us and guide our actions and decisions. Other times, it is better that we are the ones controlling emotions.
People of all ages and backgrounds struggle with controlling their emotions. The ability to manage emotions and to deal with people is more valuable than intelligence. Says the book Changing Bodies, Changing Lives by Ruth Bell.
Most of the people feel a jumble of crazy, beautiful, frightening, mixed-up emotions. A lot of people have several different feelings at the same time about the same things. . . . One minute they may feel a particular way, and then a minute later they may find the same feelings the opposite way.
To control the emotions is like controling the thoughts. Negative thoughts can sap us of the energy we need to take action. Another way which will help us to control our emotions is to set modest, realistic goals and accept our limitations. Also to avoid unfairly comparisons with others.
"I think the guys who are really controlling their emotions ... are going to win."
